Sketches for magazine 1

My intended design for my first magazine entails a Manchester theme. With this edition I would like to use a honey theme in order to reference the significance of the Manchester bee. Moreover, over both the front cover and contents page I would like other locations of central Manchester to be featured; in particular areas of the Northern quarter, as they appeal to a niche audience type and this consequently builds upon the individualistic and personalised design I would like to create. Subsequently, the type of fashion featured on this edition should be 'easily accessible' yet chic. This will relate to the younger demographic as they should find comfort out of designer fashion. 

I have also considered some content which I would like to put into my magazine, the theme of this edition is 'Manchester fashion week' and so therefore is seen as the primary article, however, I would also like to include features to do with 'feel good fashion' and 'confidence'. These are particularly important to 'ESTEEM' as a brand, as the audience which I am targeting here are Mancunians- who have a close knit community after the terrorist attack; this issue should address these issues by providing an 'escape' and a sense of comfort to its readers. There have been surrounding issues with mental health and this issue therefore provides information and tips of how to gain confidence and feel a certain way from fashion.
